Does Articlo replace professional editing?
No. Articlo handles journal preparation and repetitive formatting work. You remain responsible for substantive editing, author guidance, and the final quality review.
Can I use Articlo for client manuscripts?
Yes, as long as you have the client’s permission to upload and prepare the manuscript. Client files are stored with encryption and are never processed by an AI model. Do not upload identifiable patient or research-participant data or other prohibited sensitive information.
Will Articlo format citations and references?
Yes. When the journal requires a supported style, Articlo converts the citations and references already supplied in the manuscript and records the change. It does not verify whether a reference is accurate or valid.
What happens when an author still needs to provide something?
Articlo keeps the manuscript moving and clearly lists the missing declaration, file, or author decision in the final checklist instead of inventing content.
Can I prepare the same paper for another journal?
Yes. A re-target creates a new journal-specific version of an existing paid manuscript. The original preparation remains available, and the paper’s eligibility for re-targeting does not expire.
Does Articlo run client work through AI?
No. Articlo does not send manuscripts to an AI model or use client work to train one.
