Abstract length

Reference style

  • Articlo formats your supplied references in Harvard style and checks that citations match the reference list; source validity is not verified.
  • Original research papers (maximum 12,000 words including endnotes and bibliography).

Title page and author information

  • All authors of a manuscript should include their full name and affiliation on the cover page of the manuscript; and a brief biography (e.g. institution, research interests, other publications).

Manuscript structure

  • Provide headings and sub-headings to denote the main stages of your argument.
  • Use endnotes, not footnotes.

Language and text style

  • Use British spelling and British punctuation (consult the New Oxford Dictionary for Writers and Editors and the New Hart's Rules ).
  • Do not use sexist or racist language, and avoid political or religious polemic.
