Abstract length

Article structure and word limits

  • A typical manuscript will not exceed 6000-8000 words.
  • Files should be saved as one of the following formats: TIFF (tagged image file format), PostScript or EPS (encapsulated PostScript), and should contain all the necessary font information and the source file of the application (e.g. CorelDraw/Mac, CorelDraw/PC).
  • Image descriptions are typically used by systems such as pronouncing screen readers to make images accessible to people that cannot read or see the object due to a visual disability.

Language and text style

  • Data and/other appendices may be submitted as ‘Online Supplemental Materials’ that do not count towards the word limit.
