- A declaration must be included within the submission stating: Confirmation the authors take full responsibility for the integrity of the whole content, including accuracy of references.
Figure and table rules
- Keep every figure and table numbered, captioned, and cited in the manuscript. Keep figures embedded; Articlo also extracts numbered source files for the package.
- Figures should be high quality (1200 dpi for line art, 600 dpi for grayscale and 300 dpi for colour, at the correct size).
Show 24 more
- Figures should be drawn or grouped for clarity within a single column width (72mm) or the full page width (150mm) on reduction, allowing for captions beneath.

- The approximate positions of figures should be indicated in the manuscript.
- Our production criteria require revised papers to be submitted with the text (and tables) in a Word file(s) that is not locked, read-only or protected in any way, and which does not contain embedded figures.
- Authors wishing to include figures, tables or text that have already been published elsewhere, are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) and the include evidence that such permission has been granted when submitting their papers.
- For figures that contain sub-illustrations or graphs, each sub-illustration or graph should be assigned a clearly identified bold font, lower case letter in parentheses (e.g. (a), (b), (c)).
- Where individual figures contain definable detail, each definable detail should be clearly identified using an arrow accompanied by either a bold font, lower case letter, or a short abbreviation of the feature that is defined in the legend.

- For authors re-submitting their manuscripts, please note that you will need to submit both the new submission AND a file that has tracked the changes since the previous submission, in order for reviewers to see what changes were applied (and where) throughout the manuscript.
