Abstract length

Language and text style

  • Language checking Non-native speakers of English, German or Romance languages must have their final drafts checked by a native speaker of the language in question versed in linguistics or literature. 2 Orthography and punctuation English: Either British English or US English conventions for spelling and expression should be followed consistently.

Manuscript structure

  • Footnotes should be numbered consecutively, starting from number 1.
  • As far as possible, the number and length of footnotes should be kept to an absolute minimum. 4 Footnote numbers follow the punctuation marks in text.
